With his second single Forbidden Treasures, Maxx Parker teams up with Thought Beings for a nostalgic, ethereal love story. The heartfelt lyrics of Thought Beings draws from ancient poems of humanity and how they relate to a story of being in love. Meanwhile Maxx Parker's production takes you on a melodic, atmospheric journey which directly mirrors the emotive lyrics and vocals of Thought Beings.
lyrics
I can feel every moment
I can see every fantasy
Nothing will ever phase me any longer now
Why don’t you give me something
Little piece of your treasures lost
In the heavenly garden
Where we fell down far
Why is hiding the truth so forbidden?
When the road is paved with good intentions
We don’t need to be forgiven
For existing here
I dunno what to tell you
I don’t have all the words this time
When our suffering turned into an element
So farewell to the wonder
Where the moment forever dwells
In the heavenly garden
Where we fell down far
Why is hiding the truth so forbidden?
When the road is paved with good intentions
We don’t need to be forgiven
For existing here
I can feel every moment
I can see every fantasy
Nothing will ever phase me any longer now
Why don’t you give me something
Little piece of your treasures lost
In the heavenly garden
Where we fell down far
Why is hiding the truth so forbidden?
When the road is paved with good intentions
We don’t need to be forgiven
For existing here
Why is hiding the truth so forbidden?
When the road is paved with good intentions
We don’t need to be forgiven
For existing here

What can I say?! 'Perfect Paradise' is one of my favourite songs from this year. I'm a huge fan of 80's pop (Madonna etc) so this album is right up my street. Stop sleeping on Bunny X and buy this album right now! <3 Adam Clarke
The Dragon Inn 3’s Yaz cover gives a good idea of what to expect here: bright, bubbly throwback synthpop with irresistible hooks. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 29, 2023
'80's style neon-lit future pop with big, warm analog synths and a sugared edge from members of Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 22, 2018
Here kitty, kitty! The synthwave genius returns with a whole new batch of hooky, metal-edged songs that are more fun than a ball of yarn. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 11, 2022

Heroes sounds very different from all of The Midnight's other past works, with much more eloquent writing and complex instrumentals that help to create a much more defined and unique sound. It seems like The Midnight are finally finding their own voice, and I'm happy to be listening as they do. An excellent album to listen to whilst dreaming about what once was, and what someday will be. breadsticat19265
