Summer Break contains some of the more authentically-80s sounding music to emerge from the synthwave scene, and at its core is some serious musicianship and composition from YSIAW. Complemented by session players that have worked with Blondie, McCartney, MJ, Toto & Steely Dan (& the fretless bass on 'Fun While It Lasted' is very Pino Palladino-esque); it also features one of the scene's current leading talents, OSC. A special touch is cover art by legendary horror movie artist Matthew Peak! Rob Dyson (FutureSounds FM / Forever Synth)

The Dragon Inn 3’s Yaz cover gives a good idea of what to expect here: bright, bubbly throwback synthpop with irresistible hooks. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 29, 2023
Another aesthetically-incredible record from L'Avenue HQ, dripping in synthesizer heaven and taking us right back to the long, lazy, hazy '80's UK summer holidays when it never, ever rained at all!
Favourite track is "Tour de France" which takes me back to the late Pete Shelley's brilliant theme music for the Channel 4 coverage of the race from 1987 onwards.
Thank you, Jesse, for yet another jewel of a recording! Nice! Stevie Robson
